What to do? As any
resort the Algarve offers you a variety of sports from horse back riding on the beach, to sailing, golf, tennis,
etc.
For those who prefer some sightseeing or shopping you can enjoy small towns, like Albufeira once a quaint fishing village, where the Moorish influence is abundantly obvious.
Or visit Porches,
the capital of the Algarve pottery industry. Visit Silves, located in the Western part of the Algarve, between the mountains and the coast.
In this little town you will find stones of different eras and cultures that overlap; the castle and walls are
of Arab origin or Lagos
to view the arches of Mercado dos Cravos, (the slave market) or Sagres to visit the light house .It was here that Henry the Navigator invented, based
on the most exact science of his days, the art of Navigation. |
